General Session FAQ
Where are you located ?
Studio sessions take place in my home studio in Moriches, Long Island.
Outdoor sessions take place at the location of your choice. (Suffolk County, Long Island) I can help with suggestions of local parks, beaches, fields etc.
Do sessions include digital files or prints ?
All of the sessions that I offer include a set number of digital images. You can choose which session is right for you. Professional prints are also available as an add on to your session.
Newborn Session FAQ
When should I book my session ?
I recommend booking your newborn session by the end of your second trimester. An approximate due date is all I need to reserve your spot on my calendar. When baby is born we can change the session date if necessary.
When should my newborn session take place ?
Newborn sessions are best when done in the first 7-14
days after baby is born. In this first week or so baby stays very sleepy and will stay curled up in those adorable newborn poses. As time passes babies tend to stay awake longer and stretch those little bodies making it more difficult to get those squishy shots.
Approximately how long will my session take?
Newborn sessions can take anywhere from 2-4 hours. I try to keep them under 3 hours but every baby is different. Some babies need more feeding time or take longer to settle to get the photos I have planned out.
Do I need to bring any special clothing / items to my session ?
Since the session will be mostly of your new bundle of joy wrapped in blankets and wraps, no special clothing is needed. I also supply lots of headbands and hats for baby to wear. If you have a special blanket or keepsake that you would like to include in some of the photographs, please let me know in advance. If possible, mention these items in our pre session phone call so that I can prepare colors to match.
Can our other children be in some of the photos ?
Of course ! Big brothers and sisters are encouraged to be a part of the session !!
How much does a newborn session cost and how many photos will I receive ?
